As a family dentist, Dr. Eccles sees dental patients in Livermore of all ages. Dr. Eccles likes a child’s first dental visit before age 2. Most children are able to tolerate treatment without nitrous oxide and they also become more confident in facing and handling a new situation without needing drugs to temper their normal fear and anxiety. Rest assure we do not introduce toxic mercury amalgam fillings, nor shiny metal crowns to children.

Root Canals

Some say that all “root canals” are bad. It is bad to keep a treated or untreated tooth in your mouth that is still infecting your body 24 hours a day. Bacteria, their toxins, and the inflammation products spread via the blood stream to the rest of the body. This is what occurs with traditional gutta percha filling material. It is true that with only the main canal(s) filled most pain and swelling does subside.

Gum Therapy

Gum infections and problems are caused by microscopic organisms mostly bacteria (including spirochetes) protozoa’s, yeast and viruses. Surgery does nothing to resolve the true cause of infection. The gums can get re-infected over time because of the unhealthy conditions of the body. At our dental practice in Livermore we deep clean into the pocket, irrigate the pockets at each cleaning or root planning appointment with natural antimicrobials including ozone therapy. This reduces the amount of bacteria that can get into your bloodstream from open blood vessels in bleeding gums, and decreases inflammation

I come from out of state to have dental work done at Dr. Eccles. He has saved teeth that my previous dentist suggested to have ground down and crowned. You’ve come to the right place. My name is Nancy Daniel and I have been a patient of Dr. Eccles in Livermore for about 2 years or more. He is a perfectionist dentist and he did much needed work to my lower teeth and I must add, they look and feel great!

He’s also did a lot of dental work for my husband who has been a very satisfied patient for at least 20 years. Dr. Eccles helps one feel at ease; he is gentle, kind, caring, patient and thorough.
